Antarctica worked in conjunction with the RMIT Design Research Institute, Detour Design and Crowd Productions to develop a new guideline document for Victorian Government accommodation projects. This provides new principles and processes for the design and procurement of office buildings and spaces across all Victorian Government Departments and Agencies.

The 2009 Guidelines enables Government to provide workplaces that have longevity of use and relevance, and consider strongly the resources involved with their production and use: to design for resilience, to deliver workplaces that are able to withstand change into the future.

The document provides detailed case studies of exemplary projects that demonstrate how the principles can be applied across an accommodation project; in site selection, public interface, environmentally sustainable design and flexible workspaces.
